July Program:
"Waretown's Occupations from Colonial Days to the Victorian Era"
Sunday, July 18, 2010 at 2pm
Presenter: Adele Shaw
Adele's program is on occupations specific to Waretown's residents. It will cover from Abraham Waier's gristmill until the year 1910. Sources include County records and census listings. The program explores the history of our town as told through the work of its people.
August Program:
"Quilt Making and 'Women's Work' of Bygone Days"
Sunday, August 15, 2010 at 2pm
Present: Ellie Greco
Ellie's Program will cover the intricate details of putting together a quilt and all the work and creativity that went in to creating these beautiful heirlooms. She will also touch on other jobs that women did as part of daily life.
The Public is invited to all of these Admission-Free Events.
