The Ocean Township Office of Emergency Management is the controlling agency during time of emergencies within the Township after a declaration of Emergency exists. Only the Mayor can make that declaration. Ocean Township Officials, in conjunction with County, State and Federal Officials have compiled a plan, known here, as in every other municipality in New Jersey, as the EMERGENCY OPERATING PLAN. This plan has tried to encompass any natural and manmade disaster that could threaten our residents.
